Drink A Cup Of Water As Soon As You Wake Up

Drink Water

This is is part of my live-learning series! I will be updating this post as I continue through my journey. I apologize for any grammatical errors or incoherent thoughts. This is a practice to help me share things that are valuable without falling apart from the pressure of perfection.

After a difficult period in my life where I gained a ton of weight, I have now lost over 80 pounds and rebuilt muscle mass. More than that, I’ve rediscovered confidence and love for my body, for sports, for exercise, and for health. When I gained all the weight I almost checked out. I thought I would be obese and unhappy my whole life.

But, with the support of amazing people and a lot of research and work, I’ve been able to accomplish a level of health and happiness I can be proud of. For 2019, I made the resolution to share some of the things that have been working on my journey to a healthy mind, body and soul.

Some of them may seem simple or silly. Others may seem complex and pointless. Here is an easy one to do first thing in the morning to rehydrate, signal to your body it’s time to wake up, and improves digestion. I’ve also found a new kind of energy in my every day life since building this into my life.

There’s a meme that shows someone saying “why is it so easy to drink 8 beers but not a cup of water?”. I feel that. I add a little lemon, lime and sea salt to help get the water down on those days where you just don’t feel like hydrating anymore. What works for you in the morning?
