What are weak words? What are weak phrases? What is weak language? 

These are questions I am asking myself. I don’t particularly like the term weak, but it makes a statement. 

These are words and phrases that make you less persuasive, less confident, dilute your point and message. 

I’ve started some research below. I’ll be adding to to this list. It seems like we can also break these words and phrases into different categories:

  • Fillers
  • Hedges
  • Qualifiers
  • Tags
