What Am I Bad At

This is is part of my live-learning series! I will be updating this post as I continue through my journey. I apologize for any grammatical errors or incoherent thoughts. This is a practice to help me share things that are valuable without falling apart from the pressure of perfection.

Prioritizing

Probably shouldn’t be doing this right now. I’ve got other things that could definitely be considered more important.

Making Decisions

I get so stuck when I have to make major or even minor decisions. In a world of infinite possibilities, I often collapse. I hate the idea of one door closing. I wish we could split into all the alternate realities, see what would happen when we make that decision, and then be able to make the choice. Alas, we are not there.

Thinking Before I Speak

I’m a stream of consciousness talker. This is sometimes great. Other times, it can get me in a lot of trouble. As conversations become higher stakes, what I say can have a significant impact on myself and others.

Tackling Conflict

I hate conflict. I hate tension. We had a lot of it growing up and maybe that’s why. But, when it comes down to tough conversations that mean someone is going to get upset or hurt, I often shy away.

I know this is bad. You can’t make everyone happy. I usually end up trying to do that, then end up overwhelmed and forgetting to make myself happy.
