In this piece, I reflect on what I can do to exponential improve the success of Speak Ai.
I think the term exponential is important here. Yes, there are small things I can do that may improve our chances, but what are the actions I can take that will have a dramatic, a miraculous, an out sized effect on our growth?
Create Content
I’ll say it again. Content appreciates. It informs. It educates. It inspires.
What kind of content?
– Email automations
– Blog articles
– Tutorial videos
– Online courses
– YouTube videos
– Social media content
– Guest posts
Intentions of content
If I don’t set the intentions of the content properly, then the output could be unhelpful. What do I actually want to achieve with this content?
– Increase awareness of our company, technology, and product
– Provide clarity to people who are already following what we are doing
– Increase domain authority of our website to improve rankings all-around
– Attract social media followers for a growing built-in audience to amplify when we post content
– Get people to try out the application
– Get people to give us feedback on the platform
– Get people to sign up and use the platform and actually pay for it
– Get inbound leads for our organization packages
– Identify deep, urgent pain points to help develop and position our company
– To build audiences for remarketing
Talk To Customers
People who are already paying. Learn from them. What is going well. What is going wrong?
Talk To Prospective Customers
When I am not doing the other things, I should be talking to potential customers.
Website Improvements
Our website is the front-face of our business and it’s the first thing people come across a lot of the time. Any improvements, even incremental, like better page speed, or SEO, or layout to make a better experience could have a compounding impact on success.
Improve Onboarding
I’ve talked about this in a few other posts, but right now our onboarding is pretty atrocious. It’s basically non-existent 😂
If I can improve this, every time a user signs up, we will foster a better experience. That can lead to increased understanding, usage, retention, growth, referrals and more. Focus Tyler, focus!
Build Personal Brand
As I build the brand of Speak Ai (I need to do a much better job), I also need to build my personal brand.
In the early stages, people often connect with the founders or leaders of the company. That’s what drives awareness, engagement, and sales.
Although I’ve done an okay job, I need to do a lot better job to build my reach if I am going to hit a critical mass to make us successful. How can I do that?
Build Repeatable Systems
Right now, we are doing a lot of unscaleable work. This is good in the beginning. I hope we get the opportunity to grow. If we do, we will need to have systems and processes in place to onboard users, customers, and employees.
I need to start to think about and build that now.
