This is something I have to think about a lot. For a long time, I’ve had the dream to build something that everyday people would use. Something that can impact the world starting from making a single person’s life better.
As someone who needs to sustain himself and hopefully you grow, you have to understand the challenges with accomplishing that goal. So, for many reasons, myself and others start doing a service business that supports other businesses. It is still meaningful and important. And, at the core, businesses are run by people. If you can’t make something valuable for the individual or at least an individual on their team, you will most likely fail.
However, a lot of people put a hard line on having a Business-to-Business (B2B) versus a Business-to-Consumer (B2C) company. Many people think B2C is very difficult. Especially for inexperienced founders who have never done it before.
Work vs Personal Life
This has blurred for me and many of us. Our work and personal life is integrated. You can never fully disconnect from the professional part of your life. Especially, as an entrepreneur, there is almost no separation.
