I love everything so this is hard. I get so much stimuli. But that get’s my mind racing and isn’t always helpful and productive. When I first moved to Toronto it was too much. I didn’t realize until the pandemic came. Too many people. Too many meetings. Too much travelling through the city. In the last few months as I’ve settled in a new place things have gotten much easier to control. This has had a huge impact on my productivity. But, some distractions remain.
What is distracting me?
- Email notifications
- Zoom calls
- Sounds and sights from outside my apartment
- Too many tabs
- Too many screens
- Too many options for use cases for our technology
- The desire to want to help everyone
- YouTube
I’ve started to block off my days so I can really only have meetings on Wednesday and Thursdays. Not sure why those days it just feels right. I’m way more productive and effective. The goal is to show the value of our technology without having to talk to anyone. We’re getting closer and closer. But, if I keep talking to people all day that dream will not be realized.
This is part of my live-learning. I apologize for any grammatical errors and incoherent thoughts. There are a lot of those in my life 😂 I’ll be back.
